About the author
Gerri is the author of the award-winning history book Saving Mona Lisa: The Battle to Protect the Louvre from the Nazis. She was a freelance journalist for global organizations for many years.
She is a board member of the global genealogy organization Jewish Records Indexing-Poland (JRI-Poland) and its town leader for several towns, as well as town leader for several towns for JewishGen, another global organization dedicated to Jewish genealogy, and a member of the Jewish Genealogical Society of New York.

Gerri has a been a guest speaker for many Jewish and other organizations in the US and abroad on topics ranging from Jewish-owned art stolen during World War II to genealogy and for audiences that have included high school classes, local and international cultural organizations, synagogues, Jewish community centers and Jewish genealogy societies.
